OUR SUGARHOUSE

Mapleleaf.png

Our sugarhouse is run by Dave Anderson, his son Cody Anderson, and his son-in-law Alex Wulff. "Sugaring Season" is known as those first weeks of the year where the days get warm, in February and March. We call that "Boiling Season" because we're getting ready for those boils all year long.

Dave, Cody, and Alex fell, drag, buck, split, and stack softwood up to two years in advance of "Boiling Season." They can be found running lines as soon as there's warm days ahead in the forecast, and tapping trees when the days hit about 40 degrees. They collect sap all week in preparation for a few big boiling days on the weekend. That's when family and friends join them for warm afternoons in the Sugarhouse.
